Personal Branding of Sándor Pongor.
I have been commissioned to design brand identity system for a famous hungarian tattoo artist called Pongor Sándor.
He is going to open his own studio very soon in Debrecen, Hungary. He is a very versatile artist, that was exactly the biggest challenge for me when I tried to frame his manifold works into one system.
The concept was to make a strong but simple geometrical character which compensates the density of his artwork well but gives enough room for maneuver within a frame at the same time. Also it works just as well in his stationery and the popular merchandishing elements as the serious artworks and yet personal and unique.
I made and I played within that frame. The main logo is for tattoo studio with as few tools as possible can give easily recognizable atmosphere of tattoo. And by artworks I use the same system, but much stricter way. That's the way I "pongorized" the identity.
